Opelousas had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.7 points) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Tuesday. They strolled past the Beau Chene Gators with points to spare, taking the game 50-31. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while the Gators are ranked 95th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Opelousas' win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for Beau Chene, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-15 record this season.

Coincidentally, Opelousas and Beau Chene will both be playing Livonia the next time they take the court. Beau Chene will head out to face Livonia at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Opelousas will host them at 7:00 p.m. on February 11th.
