Softball Recap: Bell Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bell can now relate to. They lost 22-3 to the Banneker Bulldogs on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Griffins in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost four in a row.

Krissia Lopez was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Nataly Gutierrez-Portillo also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Bell's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Banneker, they pushed their record up to 6-2-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Bell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Banneker, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 19-10 defeat against School Without Walls on the 1st.
