Canyon Crest Academy put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Torrey Pines Falcons. This was payback for the Ravens, who suffered a 3-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

While Canyon Crest Academy might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Torrey Pines scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-22, 20-25, 25-19.

Despite the defeat, Torrey Pines saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Griffin Dieter had 21 digs and two aces. Beckett Ribeiro-Greenbaum was another key player, getting 22 assists and ten digs.

Canyon Crest Academy's victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 38-0. As for Torrey Pines, the loss snapped their winning streak at nine games and leaves them with a 30-7 record.

As of now, neither Canyon Crest Academy nor the Falcons have any future games scheduled.
