Softball Recap: Hagerty's Winning Streak Snapped at Ten Games

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Hagerty couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Wellington Wolverines by a score of 6-5 on Saturday. The Huskies' defeat signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

Hagerty got a good showing from Alexis Williamson, who tossed 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Williamson has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Ana Roman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Campbell Downing was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Hagerty's loss dropped their record down to 24-7. As for Wellington, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 23-4.

As of now, neither Hagerty nor the Wolverines have any future games scheduled.
