Baseball Recap: The Colony Takes Down Memorial in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but The Colony had no problem doing just that on Friday. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Memorial Warriors. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won three in a row.

Josiah Rojas was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other pitching news, Cole Richeson looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

Back at the plate, Trey Rangel was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

The Colony's record is now 19-10. As for Memorial, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-18.

As of now, neither The Colony nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
