Softball Game Preview: Green Canyon Wolves vs. Hunter Wolverines

The Green Canyon Wolves will square off against the Hunter Wolverines at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Green Canyon is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 29 runs on Wednesday, they were much more limited against Bear River on Friday. They came up short against the Bears, falling 12-2.

Bailey Taylor was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

West Jordan hit Hunter with a seven-run fourth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wolverines lost 15-5 to the Jaguars. The Wolverines have struggled against the Jaguars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Hunter saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was SYDNI MILLER, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Hunter's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Green Canyon, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season.

Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Green Canyon hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .320. However, it's not like Hunter struggles in that department as they've averaged .365. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
