Basketball Recap: Rockville Takes a Loss

Rockville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 65-48 to the Seneca Valley Screamin' Eagles. The Rams were not able to make up for their loss to the Screamin' Eagles from their previous meeting back in February of 2023.

Seneca Valley had a senior duo take command as Jaysen Moise dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 boards and Isaac Olanrewaju went 5 of 10 on his way to 10 points along with six boards and six steals. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for Olanrewaju. The team also got some help courtesy of JJ Green, who posted 11 points and three steals.

Rockville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Seneca Valley, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Rockville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 68-66 loss against Woodbridge on the 27th. As for Seneca Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 65-38 defeat against Wootton on the 27th.
