Hayward is 6-1 against Cameron since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Hurricanes will welcome the Comets at 5:00 p.m.

Hayward had taken Ashland down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Monday. The Hurricanes lost 19-6 to the Oredockers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Hurricanes have suffered against the Oredockers since April 12, 2018.

Caleb Springer and Trenton Kirkland stepped up to the plate in a big way. Springer went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run, while Kirkland got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI. Xzavier Stojek was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Cameron, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over Unity on Monday.

Cameron's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-13. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Hayward, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-8-1.

Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Hayward hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .357. However, it's not like Cameron struggles in that department as they've averaged .317. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Hayward came out on top in a nail-biter against Cameron in their previous matchup back in April, sneaking past 9-7. Do the Hurricanes have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Comets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
