Basketball Recap: Waterville Comes Up Short

Waterville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 44-39 heartbreaker at the hands of the Belfast Lions. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 64-52 on January 2nd.

Waterville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Belfast, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Waterville has already played their next match (against Winslow), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Belfast has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Lincoln Academy.
