Softball Recap: Youngker Comes Up Short

Youngker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 13-10 to the Odyssey Institute Minotaur.

Cali Arreola made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Anamarie Rodriguez, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while getting on base in both of her plate appearances.

Youngker's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Odyssey Institute, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Youngker wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 23-0 loss against Canyon View on the 5th. As for Odyssey Institute, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-13 defeat against Nogales on the 1st.
