Volleyball Recap: Connersville Comes Up Short

Connersville was the 2-0 winner over Rising Sun when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Spartans fell just short of the Shiners by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kendyl Bottomley paced Connersville's offense, picking up 11 kills. Bottomley got some help from Keagan Ritter and her 19 assists. Bottomley was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Connersville's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Rising Sun, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Connersville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Pike on the 13th. As for Rising Sun, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Seymour on the 13th.
