Softball Recap: Scotts Valley Beats Soquel for Their Third Straight Win

Scotts Valley entered their tilt with Soquel on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 10-2 win. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by seven runs or more this season.

Sofie Seese spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Taylor Wilson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run and five RBI. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Lorelei Warner also deserves some recognition as she scored her first runs of the season.

Scotts Valley's victory bumped their record up to 12-5-1. As for Soquel, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
