Baseball Recap: Whiteland Takes a Loss

Whiteland came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 11-1 to the New Palestine Dragons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 4-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Whiteland has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for New Palestine, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Whiteland will square off against Franklin Community at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for New Palestine, they will challenge Mt. Vernon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Dragons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Marauders have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
