Softball Recap: Santo Wildcats vs. Springtown Porcupines

Santo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 14-3 to the Springtown Porcupines.

Santo saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Macey Jenkins, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Jenkins also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another was Kamryn Castillo, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Santo's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Springtown, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-5.

Looking ahead, Santo will venture away from home to challenge Stephenville FAITH at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Santo is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season. As for Springtown, they will welcome Burkburnett at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
