Softball Recap: Columbus Drops Highest Score of Season Against Wapsie Valley

Columbus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 23rd straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wapsie Valley Warriors. On the bright side, the four- run effort marked the Sailors' highest-scoring contest to date.

Columbus' loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Wapsie Valley, their win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Columbus will square off against Aplington-Parkersburg at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wapsie Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Jesup at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Warriors' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
