Football Recap: Downingtown East Piles Up the Points Against Northeast

Downingtown East's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Northeast Vikings 33-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Cougars' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Vikings are ranked 201st).

The victory got Downingtown East back to even at 1-1. As for Northeast, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Downingtown East will host Spring-Ford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northeast, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Chester at 7:00 p.m.
