Volleyball Recap: Waterford Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Waterford challenged Big Valley Christian on Thursday. The Waterford Wildcats came up short against the Big Valley Christian Lions, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 last Saturday.

Waterford took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-18, 25-19.

Waterford has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. The victory was the fifth in a row for Big Valley Christian, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.

Waterford has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Pinole Valley on the 1st. As for Big Valley Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Center on the 1st.
