Basketball Recap: Owen Valley Comes Up Short

On Friday, the Owen Valley Patriots were beaten by the Covenant Christian Warriors 78-29. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 355th, while the Warriors are ranked 170th).

Isaac Crane was his usual excellent self, going 8 for 11 on his way to 16 points and eight rebounds for Covenant Christian. The match was Crane's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Harris, who made all 5 shots he took for 14 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Owen Valley and nudges their season record down to 2-8. As for Covenant Christian, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.

Owen Valley will challenge Cloverdale at 7:30 p.m. on January 10th. As for Covenant Christian, they will take on University at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
