Basketball Recap: Gambell Takes a Loss

Gambell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the White Mountain Wolves and fell 73-8. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the King Polar Bear this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 74-13 last Saturday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead White Mountain to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kyri Adams, who went 6 of 13 en route to 13 points and five steals. Adams is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Lillian Lausten-Katongan was another key player, going 7 for 16 on her way to 16 points and five boards.

Gambell's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for White Mountain, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Gambell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. White Mountain has already played their next match (against Shaktoolik), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
