Spanish Fort waltzed into their contest on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They put the hurt on the Baldwin County Tigers with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on September 9th.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Spanish Fort took every set by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-14, 25-9.

Spanish Fort's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Miranda McEvoy, who had ten digs and one assist. Those ten digs gave McEvoy a new career-high. Cailyn Boykin was another key player, getting 11 assists and two aces.

Spanish Fort was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Baldwin County didn't served any.

Spanish Fort's win bumped their record up to 40-7. As for Baldwin County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 15 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-24 record this season.

Spanish Fort will challenge Daphne at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Baldwin County, they will square off against Gulf Shores at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
