Innovation Academy has been on the road for two straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Neighborhood House Charter Legends at 4:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Massachusetts (Innovation Academy is ranked tenth, while Neighborhood House Charter is ranked fifth).
Innovation Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 81-47 victory over Nashoba Valley Tech on the road. With that victory, Innovation Academy brought their scoring average up to 55.2 points per game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Innovation Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Derrick Twum, who scored 25 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Another player making a difference was Bryce Kankam, who scored 20 points.
Meanwhile, Neighborhood House Charter ended up a good deal behind Boston Latin on Tuesday and lost 62-46.
The losing side was boosted by Tavon Rhodes, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Juelz McGhee, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Innovation Academy's victory bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Neighborhood House Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.
