Jefferson has gone 8-2 against Canutillo recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:40 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Friday, Jefferson came up short against El Paso and fell 3-1. The Silver Foxes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Jefferson ultimately came up short, they really made El Paso work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 21-25, 25-16, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Canutillo lost 3-0 to Chapin last Friday. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Huskies recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-11, 25-19.

Jefferson will have to keep a close watch on Sophia Ontiveros and Danielle Romero, a pair of players who had a big impact on Canutillo's prior game. Ontiveros had 23 assists and nine digs, while Romero had 13 digs and five kills. Ontiveros has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more assists the last 27 times she's played.

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Canutillo, their loss dropped their record down to 17-16.

Jefferson took their win against Canutillo in their previous meeting back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Silver Foxes repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
