Basketball Recap: Paxton-Buckley-Loda Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Paxton-Buckley-Loda walked away with it. They came out on top against the Hoopeston Cornjerkers by a score of 56-43 on Wednesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 58-26 last Friday.

Hoopeston's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nick Cardenas, who posted 11 points. Brayden Walder was another key player, putting up 11 points and three steals.

Paxton-Buckley-Loda's win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-14. As for Hoopeston, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-13.
