South Elgin won the last time they faced Bartlett and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Storm walked away with a 2-0 win over the Hawks. Winning may never get old, but the Storm sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
South Elgin easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-19.
South Elgin got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tyler Aluquin out in front who had 16 assists and three aces. That's the most aces Aluquin has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Damian Hernandez, who had ten assists and two aces.
South Elgin's win bumped their record up to 20-11. As for Bartlett, their loss dropped their record down to 5-23.
Coming up, South Elgin will head out on the road to face off against St. Charles East at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Fighting Saints will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Storm surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bartlett, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Hoffman Estates at 5:30 p.m.
