Tidewater Academy and Fuqua are an even 3-3 against one another since January of 2021, but not for long. The Tidewater Academy Warriors are taking a road trip to challenge the Fuqua Falcons at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Tidewater Academy is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Tidewater Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 36-31 to Kenston Forest.

Meanwhile, Fuqua came up short against Brunswick Academy on Monday and fell 33-26. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 357th, while the Vikings are ranked 124th).

Tidewater Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Fuqua, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 12 matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Tidewater Academy strolled past Fuqua when the teams last played back in January by a score of 40-26. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tidewater Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
