Basketball Recap: Vidor Comes Up Short

Vidor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Lumberton Raiders and fell 78-36. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1166th, while the Raiders are ranked 455th).

Vidor's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Lumberton, their victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-7.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Silsbee the next time they take the court. Vidor will host Silsbee at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Lumberton will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
