Softball Game Preview: West St. John Rams vs. Riverside Academy Rebels

West St. John hasn't had much luck against Riverside Academy recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. West St. John will be playing at home against Riverside Academy at 6:00 p.m. West St. John has given up an average of 14.7 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

West St. John is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 18 runs on Wednesday, they were much more limited against St. Martin's Episcopal on Thursday. They came up short against the Saints, falling 18-1.

Meanwhile, Riverside Academy came tearing into Saturday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Bulldogs.

Riverside Academy's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for West St. John, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
