Soccer Recap: Perquimans Takes a Loss

Perquimans lost against Manteo back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Pirates lost 6-0 to the Redskins. While losing is never fun, Perquimans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 399th, while Manteo are ranked 79th).

Perquimans has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11-1 record this season. As for Manteo, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Perquimans didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 0-0 draw against Camden County on the 20th. As for Manteo, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 5-1 win against Gates County on the 20th.
