If Northside wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Taft, they should've done a better job of containing Illyana James. The Eagles claimed a resounding 71-30 win over the Mustangs with plenty of help from James, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and ten rebounds. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Gabriela Gonzalez, who posted eight points in addition to five boards and five steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.

Taft's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Northside, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-2.

Taft wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 42-22 win against King on the 13th. As for Northside, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 67-61 defeat against Willows Academy on the 13th.
