Softball Recap: Lincoln-Way West Gets the Win

After losing to Shepard the last time they met, Lincoln-Way West decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Warriors walked away with a 4-1 win over the Astros on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Lincoln-Way West's victory bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Shepard, with the defeat, they broke their nine-game winning streak and moved their record to 18-4.

Lincoln-Way West and Shepard should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Warriors (ranked 25th) will meet Homewood-Flossmoor (ranked 177th) at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Shepard will square off against Bremen at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (40 vs. 448).
