Basketball Recap: St. John's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

If Bishop Ryan wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played St. John, they should've done a better job of containing Kennley Davis. The St. John Woodchucks ended the year with a bang, routing the Bishop Ryan Lions 57-32 on Monday thanks in part to Davis, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in steals.

Another player making a difference was Ava Delorme, who posted eight points and five steals. Delorme is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

With the win, St. John broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-6. As for Bishop Ryan, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

St. John wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 66-58 defeat against Our Redeemer's Christian on the 31st. As for Bishop Ryan, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 46-41 loss against Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood on the 4th.
