St. John Paul II waltzed into their game on Wednesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They never let the FAMU DRS Baby Rattlers get on the board and left with a 21-0 win. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.

Wyatt Cantella was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Wyatt Visnovske, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Silas Latimer, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.

St. John Paul II kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as FAMU DRS only managed three hits.

St. John Paul II's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-3. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for FAMU DRS, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. John Paul II will take on Aucilla Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 2.4, the Warriors 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for FAMU DRS, they will square off against Gadsden County at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
