Basketball Recap: Classical Academy Takes a Loss

Classical Academy's tournament run continued when they took on San Dieguito Academy on Friday. The Classical Academy Caimans took a 35-18 bruising from the San Dieguito Academy Mustangs. The game marked the Caimans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Classical Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for San Dieguito Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.

Classical Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Tri-City Christian at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. San Dieguito Academy and Galena will round out the year against one another at at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
