Softball Game Preview: Oshkosh West Wildcats vs. Kaukauna Galloping Ghosts

Oshkosh West hasn't had much luck against Kaukauna recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Wildcats will take on the Galloping Ghosts at 4:30 p.m.

It was a proper cat-fight when Oshkosh West took on Fond du Lac on Thursday. The Wildcats lost 10-2 to the Cardinals. Having soared to a lofty 20 runs in the game before, the Wildcats couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, Kaukauna put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on Appleton West with a sharp 19-0 win. That looming 19-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Galloping Ghosts yet this season.

Oshkosh West's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Kaukauna, their victory was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0.

Oshkosh West couldn't quite finish off Kaukauna when the teams last played back in May of 2024 and fell 2-0. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
