Northumberland can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. Everything went their way against Rappahannock as Northumberland made off with a 40-20 victory.
Northumberland's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Markiel Cockrell, who rushed for 138 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. Tyreek Lundy was another key contributor, throwing for 233 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.
Westmoreland played against Essex and lost via forfeit.
Northumberland is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Westmoreland, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.
