Soccer Recap: Archbishop Riordan Takes a Loss

Archbishop Riordan lost against Bellarmine College Prep back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Archbishop Riordan Crusaders came up short against the Bellarmine College Prep Bells, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, the Crusaders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 782nd, while the Bells are ranked 27th).

Archbishop Riordan's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Bellarmine College Prep, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-1-1.

Archbishop Riordan is taking a road trip to challenge Saint Francis at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bellarmine College Prep, they will welcome Valley Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bellarmine College Prep is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.6 goals per game this season.
