The Bertie Falcons entered their tilt with the Martin County Knights with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Bertie enjoyed a cozy 60-46 victory over Martin County on Wednesday. Given Bertie's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 95th, while Martin County is ranked 303rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bertie's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tequan Holley, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 12 rebounds.
