Simeon Frost of Mt. Carmel ran for the longest rushing play in Valley this season against La Jolla last week. Frost scampered for 58 yards on the play and finished with 126 on the day as his team topped the Vikings.

Mt. Carmel was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in the league. Earlier in the week, John Anderson's team triumphed over La Jolla 34-13.

Frost was the most successful running back in the league this week. Teammate Jaylen Jones added to the ground attack by rushing for 52 yards.

Tyler Nix was the best wideout in Valley this week as San Marcos lost to Scripps Ranch. Nix racked up 6 receptions for 90 yards. Isiah Hennie helped San Marcos' passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 48 yards.

Parker Lappin threw for 209 yards and 2 touchdowns. He was 15-28 with 1 interceptions.

Lappin put up the best numbers through the air as Del Norte lost to Rancho Buena Vista. Lappin's favorite target this week was Christian Hill, who caught 5 passes for 98 yards.

The Nighthawks' Lappin and Hill have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Lappin has thrown for 209 yards this season, while Hill, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 5 catches for 98 yards. Frost from the Sundevils leads the league in rushing with 126 yards.

Valley Center and Mar Vista played the closest game in the league this week, with Valley Center eventually emerging with a 34-33 victory.
