Lakeside has gone a perfect 10-0 against Riverside recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Rams at 12:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lakeside has three straight wins, Riverside has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Lakeside will bounce into Saturday's matchup after beating Freeman, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Eagles came out on top against the Scotties by a score of 7-3 on Tuesday.

Nicholas Hernandez and Connor Fritz did most of the damage at the plate: Hernandez went 1-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base, while Fritz went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle Phillips, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Riverside lost 22-5 to Freeman on Saturday.

Riverside saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Reedy, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double. That double was Reedy's first of the season. Nathan Lee was another, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Lakeside, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.

Saturday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Lakeside has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .439. However, it's not like Riverside struggles in that department as they've averaged .512. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Lakeside got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 against Riverside by a conclusive 11-1 score. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
