Softball Recap: Clay Blue Devils vs. Palatka Panthers
After flying high against Providence School on Monday, Clay came back down to earth. The Blue Devils fell 7-2 to the Palatka Panthers on Tuesday. The Blue Devils were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 5-4.
Kaelye Rouw made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run.
Clay's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Palatka, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 15-10.
Coming up, Clay will be playing at home against Middleburg at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Broncos' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Blue Devils' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Palatka does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
