The Bingham Miners will venture away from home to take on the Weber Warriors at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Bingham is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.
Bingham's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over Providence Hall.
Brooklynn Fogg was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Shyann Banasky was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Bingham hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Weber was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of Skyridge.
Aliya Rhees led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-3 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Dixon, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Weber's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Bingham, their victory bumped their record up to 10-7-2.
Monday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Bingham hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .328. However, it's not like Weber struggles in that department as they've averaged .338. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bingham took their win against Weber in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 12-6 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Miners since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
