Cuba-Rushford dropped their record down to 9-8 on Saturday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Gananda Central Blue Panthers, falling 8-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rebels of the 9-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2019.

As for Gananda Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. The result was nothing new for Gananda Central, who have now won 13 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

For Gananda Central's part, Henry Shutts made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. Shutts has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Will Schneemann, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Owen Switzer, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

As of now, neither Cuba-Rushford nor Gananda Central have any future games scheduled.
