Basketball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Port Aransas' 17th in Last 18 Outings

Port Aransas had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Stacey Eagles on Saturday as the Port Aransas Marlins made off with a 53-28 victory. The Marlins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 24 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Port Aransas is on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-9 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 44.8 points. Stacey's loss dropped their record down to 17-10.

Coming up, Port Aransas will take on Thorndale on Monday. Thorndale will roll in looking for their 16th straight win, something Port Aransas surely won't give up without a fight. Stacey does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
