Baseball Recap: Leflore County Takes a Loss

Leflore County lost against O'Bannon back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tigers lost 16-4 to the Greenwaves.

Maurice Edwards made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole four bases while going 1-for-1. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged four or more in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bravian Askew, who scored a run and stole four bases while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

Leflore County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for O'Bannon, they pushed their record up to 11-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Greenwaves beat Leflore County by a score of 20-8 later that day.
