Troy Barrett gave up the fewest hits he has since back in May of 2024 on Tuesday. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 14 over six innings pitched, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Chesterton is undefeated when he allows at most two walks, but 1-2 otherwise.

Barrett's strong effort led Chesterton over Michigan City and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Trojans are 9-1 against the Wolves going back to May of 2017, a lead they'll look to extend.
