Basketball Recap: Hendersonville Comes Up Short

Hendersonville saw some tournament action on Friday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 34-33 to the Ezell-Harding Christian Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Commandos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 161st, while the Eagles are ranked 25th).

Hendersonville's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Ezell-Harding Christian, the win keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.

Hendersonville will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cookeville at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Ezell-Harding Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 62-52 victory against Liberty Creek on the 28th.
