Recap: Coventry Patriots vs. Windsor Locks Raiders
The Coventry Patriots lost against the Windsor Locks Raiders back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Coventry opened the new year with a less-than-successful 58-51 defeat to Windsor Locks. Coventry has not had much luck with Windsor Locks recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
It was another big night for Sincere Monroe, who scored 28 points along with six steals and five assists for Windsor Locks. The contest was Monroe's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Jack Grasso was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Coventry's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Windsor Locks, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coventry will challenge Bolton at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Bolton is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Windsor Locks, they will head out on the road to face off against East Windsor at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Connecticut (East Windsor is ranked 71st, while Windsor Locks is ranked 62nd).
