They took a 55-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Iowa City West. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 142nd, while the Trojans are ranked 13th).

Pleasant Valley's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-4. As for Linn-Mar, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-15.

Everything came up roses for Pleasant Valley against Linn-Mar when the teams last played back in December of 2023, as the team secured a 59-27 victory. Will Pleasant Valley repeat their success, or does Linn-Mar have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
