Williamsville posted their closest win since September 2nd on Thursday. They skirted past the Riverton Hawks 2-1. The Bullets haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Williamsville got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-12, 22-25, 25-14.

Williamsville found their leader in freshman Elyse Kunz, who had 14 digs and three assists. Quinn Bandy also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Brooke Stoll and Reagan Campbell certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Stoll had 14 digs and three assists, while Campbell had eight digs, five kills, and one block. Campbell has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 22 times she's played.

Williamsville's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Riverton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-5.

Looking ahead, Williamsville is taking a road trip to face off against Athens at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Riverton, they will welcome PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
