Baseball Recap: Pottsville Beats Pine Grove for Their Third Straight Victory

Pottsville hadn't done well against Pine Grove recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Crimson Tide came out on top against the Cardinals by a score of 11-6. The victory was nothing new for the Crimson Tide as they're now sitting on three straight.

Pottsville let Landon Trout and Alan Kushwarra run wild. Trout went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Kushwarra went 3-for-4 with three RBI. Those two hits gave Trout a new career-high. Harrison Ciavarella was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Pottsville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
